Porquier Beau French faience pleated basket with handle decorated with Breton couple flanking a "camieu bleu" scene of Quimper, the river Odet and cathedral in background; ht 9 1/2". c.1875-1905. LITERATURE: Tome II, pg 411, plate 6, ?Pont l?Abbe?; Tome II, pg 407, plate 2, ?Douarnenez?. CONDITION: Quimper has propensity to have minor chips, glaze loss/wear and crazing.
