Malicorne commode form footed jardiniere with 4 intricately painted scenes: parents and babies, grandparents and granddaughter, Breton farmers enjoying a drink, and parents listening to son read a book. Marked PBX, has crazing typical of Malicorne; length 8 3/4" circa 1895-1925. CONDITION: Quimper has propensity to have minor chips, glaze loss/wear and crazing.
